After just over two and a half years of operation at Ørsted‘s Hornsea 2 offshore windfarm, ‘Get Up Safe’ aka GUS systems have performed more than 10,000 safe transfers, replacing boat landing step-across and ladder climbing as the method of access from Crew Transfer Vessel for all 165 wind turbines. We’re really pleased to now share a new video, which describes some of the journey to develop and establish the GUS system as an entirely new category of personnel transfer for offshore wind.
