Safety
GUS systems remove the need for personnel to step between the bow of the Crew Transfer Vessel and a foundation ladder and eliminates a long climb between platform and CTV. Instead, the GUS system uses sensors to track the motion of the vessel deck and automatically adjusts the hoisting line position to ensure that technicians are always kept safe, even if the vessel deck moves suddenly during transfers because of rising sea states.

Active heave compensated personnel and cargo transfer solutions provide greater accessibility for offshore assets, enabling repairs to be performed faster, more of the year around.

Replacing step across transfer with heave-compensated transfer allows developers to radically modify foundation/ transition piece design. Including removal of secondary steel such as boat landings, a reduction in primary steel and a smaller access platform footprint.
