We’re delighted to announce that Charles Thompson and Richard Preston have joined Pict Offshore as Non-Executive Company Directors, to strengthen our board as we enter an important period of growth.
Between them, Charlie and Richard bring decades of executive leadership experience across marketing, communications, finance and operations within high-growth engineering businesses in the renewable energy sector. Charlie is the founder of strategic communications consultancy Regard Communications and has over thirty years’ experience of leading and delivering impactful communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management for high technology, innovation-led organisations. As a member of the Executive team at the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult for over a decade, he led their corporate affairs, marketing and communications activities and was instrumental in establishing them as a world-class agency for catalysing growth in the renewables sector. Richard has substantial experience of early-stage technology companies, having had 13 years on the Board of Ceres Power Holdings plc (AIM:CWR.L) until 2022. As CFO, Richard was integral to Ceres’ change of strategy and fundraisings and oversaw the company’s growth. He is currently fractional CFO at Densix, a power converter technology spin-out of Oxford University.
